• Harry

Starting his first coffee shop when he was 23, our founder Harry has since gone on to open 9 more of his own, and helped others to open a further 52.

He’s worked in prisons training young offenders how to be baristas (and behave!), overseen a mentoring scheme for formerly homeless people, and has a hidden disability himself that made it hard for him when he first started as a barista.

  • Jack

Jack is our Head of Sales and Partnerships. He heads up our B2B and works tirelessly to help us generate the funds we need to run our impact work. He likes to think of coffee as our vehicle for social change and this ethos drives his approach to sales.

Outside of work Jack is a DJ, a festival goer and a big believer in ethical businesses, particularly those that focus on sustainability and mental health.

  • Elaine

Elaine’s our Head of Finance, sorting what she calls ‘the boring stuff’. She keeps the business ticking over and makes sure everyone’s paid. Elaine has a habit of befriending everyone she meets and also keeps everyone cheery in Head Office.

She can be identified by her bright orange Arsenal hat - which Jack (Tottenham fan) takes issue with.

  • Andrea

With almost a decade behind her in the coffee industry, Andrea runs a tight ship as Site Manager at our Hackney Wick site, Clarnico Club.

Andrea loves hosting the local community (and their dogs) in her shop. She runs monthly markets at Clarnico, where she is also a vendor.

  • Jas

Jasmin is one of our Mentor team, and a specialist barista trainer to our partners.

With over 6 years of experience in specialty coffee, doing coffee workshops and her love for teaching, Jasmin knows how to inspire our students and help them feel confident and proud with their hard work and new skills.

She’s a keen crochet-er, having knitted most of the team a balaclava. She’s also practicing as a yoga teacher and often puts on a class for everyone at SEND.

  • Ty

Ty is our Lead Mentor and works in our shops, in particular with learners who need life skills training. He has been with SEND Coffee since the beginning.

With extensive experience in hospitality and management, as well as volunteer work, Ty brings a wealth of knowledge to his students and ensures they are more than ready for their future roles as baristas!

  • Paddy

Paddy is one of our Mentor team, and works especially with our beneficiaries who have higher needs. He is commonly identified by his eclectic selection of earrings.

Paddy is a bit of a genius, currently writing his PhD about the anthropology of outer space. He spends the rest of us time with us, helping the beneficiaries grow and making the shops happy spaces.
